ARC ERA review consultation

Hot on the heels of the ANZSRC review, the Australian Research Council has announced that it will shortly begin its public consultation to review the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) and the Engagement and Impact assessment (EI). The review is being conducted to ensure these programs reflect best practice in research evaluation and respond to the needs of the university sector and other key stakeholders.

DDCA will be consulting with its members to prepare a submission and has already informally raised with the ARC the problems for creative arts relating to the impact of closures of public venues and reduced opportunities for physical collaboration due to COVID restrictions.

The ARC expects to release a consultation paper and detailed survey in mid-August with a closing date in mid October for responses.
