Irish Government to provide basic income for artists

The Irish Government has announced its intention to introduce a basic income for 3 years for artists. The Basic Income for the Arts scheme will provide a weekly payment to enable artists to pursue their creativity. It will apply only to a specific number of artists and a consultation to determine details has commenced.
