Announcing: New DDCA Board Member

We warmly welcome Professor Kathryn Gilbey to the DDCA Board. Professor Gilbey has extensive experience in leadership roles within educational institutions, particularly in Indigenous tertiary education. She has a background in creative writing, education, and Indigenous leadership. She has successfully led the Graduate School at Batchelor Institute and has served as the Acting Executive Dean of Higher Education and Research Division. Professor Gilbey ensures community voice is included to ensure education is inclusive, empowering and enabling of people with strong cultural and creative knowledge and practice. She has trained in and led community theatre and creative writing and integrates her skills in these to support effective communication and maintain a focus on enabling First Nations achievements in the educational landscapes of Australian and International settings and partnerships. The DDCA is honoured to have Professor Gilbey join the Board and we are sure her contribution will be invaluable to the organisation and the community we serve.
