Queensland Conservatorium

Professor Bernard Lanskey has been appointed as the new Director of the Queensland Conservatorium at Griffith University. Music educator and pianist Professor Lanskey joins Griffith after 15 years leading the Yong Siew Conservatory of Music at the National University of Singapore.

Professor Bernard Lanskey has been appointed as the incoming Director of Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. Pianist Professor Lanskey is currently Dean of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music at the National University of Singapore. He will commence with Queensland Conservatorium in July.

Congratulations to Professor Brydie-Leigh Bartleet, Director of the Queensland Conservatorium Research Centre, who has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to undertake research with musicians and organisations in New York who are harnessing the power of music to tackle complex social inequalities.

Each year brings new faces to Australia’s tertiary arts institutions and sadly farewells familiar colleagues who move on to new pastures. These are just a small selection sent by our institutions: Alex Martinis Roe has relocated from Berlin to join ANU as Head of Sculpture, School of Art & Design
