Music Australia Releases National Contemporary Music Plan

Following 12 months of discussion that included ARIA, APRA AMCOS, AMPAL, AMIN, AIR, Live Music Office, and the Country Music Association of Australia , Music Australia has released a plan for the development of the Australian contemporary music industry.

Following 12 months of discussion that included ARIA, APRA AMCOS, AMPAL, AMIN, AIR, Live Music Office, and the Country Music Association of Australia , Music Australia has released a plan for the development of the Australian contemporary music industry.  Its six core strategies are aimed at:

  • Increasing Australian music exports and share of international market
  • Delivering a robust and appropriate copyright framework
  • Increasing consumer demand for recorded and live music
  • Building industry skills and capacity
  • Strengthening artist development
  • Implementing best practice regulatory reform and investment incentives
