La Trobe University has announced an intention to take a lead in regional creative arts with the recent release of the La Trobe Art Strategy. The strategy, which includes the development of an outdoor sculpture trail, internship programs for postgraduate students to work with international institutions and a regional galleries touring exhibition for 2016/17, builds on the appointment of Karen Quinlan as La Trobe Arts Institute Director earlier this year. Demonstrating the close collaboration that will continue to grow with the regional gallery sector, Professor Quinlan will also continue as Director of the Bendigo Art Gallery.
