Hot on the heels of news of Monash university’s new musical theatre artists-in-residence program reported in the last edition of NiTRO, the university has announced a significant revamp to its Clayton campus Alexander Theatre as part of the new The Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts. The new centre, made possible by $45million investment by Monash, State Government and philanthropic supporters such as the Myer Foundation, will feature a new sound gallery and Jazz club as well as the revitalisation of the Alexander Theatre.
