University of Queensland Associate Dean (Research) Professor Joanne Tomkins will take up her new role as the ARC’s new Executive Director for Humanities and Creative Arts in April 2017. Professor Tomkins personal research interests centre around drama and particularly 3D visualisation and modelling of theatre spaces. Her recent publications include ‘Unsettling Space: Contestations in Contemporary Theatre’ published by Palgrave/ Macmillan in 2006 She is also part of the team that comprise Ortelia, an organisation that provides virtual exhibition services to the museum and gallery sector (http://ortelia.com) . Professor Tomkins replaces Professor Dennis Del Favero who held the HCA Executive Director Position from August 2015 and who returns to UNSW to take up a Chair in Digital Innovation.
