Perspectives on creative arts in higher education

New report into grant seeking in NFP sector

A study undertaken into Australia’s grants industry conducted by NFP sector organisation ‘Our Community’  has revealed that:

  • Big organisations are picking up many of the smaller grants that are aimed at small NFP organisations
  • 54% of respondents don’t actually submit applications that they started preparing
  • Arts and culture organisations apply for fewer grants than organisations from other segments of the not-for-profit sector, although they were less likely to abandon an application once started than other sectors
