Marie Sierra appointed as Dean of Melbourne’s Faculty of Fine Arts and Music

Professor Marie Sierra has been announced as the new Dean of the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Fine Arts and Music. Professor Sierra, who is a DDCA Board member, has a long career in the arts having held senior positions at the University of Tasmania and most recently as Deputy Dean of the University of NSW Faculty of Art and Design for six years. This new post represents a return to the University of Melbourne where she was previously Associate Professor in Fine Art at the Victorian College of the Art and also served as Associate Dean Research. She will take up her post in January 2021.
