Think Tank “A New Approach” has released a new insight report on the Australian Academy of the Humanities website that captures how middle income, middle aged swinging voters in regional and suburban Australia view arts and culture. Focus groups in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria were asked about the role that art and creativity plays in their lives. Although less supportive of “elitist” art forms, the participants expressed a strong support for arts and culture and concern about losing the opportunities that they provide.
