Scholarships at UQ and UTAS offered

The University of Tasmania is inviting artists and designers to submit proposals for PhD scholarships as part of a research project “Future-Making Creative Cultures: Waste, Salvage, Repair and Sustainability”.

Proposals should focus on informing innovative modes of creative practice that embrace, explore and exploit reclaimed or second-use local materials and objects to establish ethical, environmentally sound and sustainable approaches to art and design.

The deadline for applications is 30 August 2021.

The University of Queensland is inviting applications for the Kinnane PhD Scholarship in Art History by Exhibition which provides a scholarship of $39,000 pa plus research funds and involves curating an exhibition at the UQ Art Museum. The deadline for applications is 17 September 2021 and further information is available at: https://scholarships.uq.edu.au/scholarship/kinnane-phd-scholarship-art-history-exhibition
