A recent report by A New Approach that arts and culture businesses had received more than $4billion in COVID support has been debunked by a recent article by Ben Eltham reported by ArtsHub.
Apparently, it is all down to the fact that the ABS definition of “the cultural and creative sector” includes not only arts and culture organisations but also “significant parts of the manufacturing and retail sectors, such as clothing, footwear and jewellery manufacturing and retail; software publishing and computer system design; zoos and parks; advertising; and architecture.”
