In the wake of COVID limitations, Art Schools in California are looking to introduce a ‘hybrid’ approach to art instruction for the next semester. University of California, Berkeley and California College of the Arts are considering the practicalities of combining online and lab-based attendance with other schools such as Cal State University Long Beach (CSULB) and the Otis College of Art and Design, also exploring ways to continue to offer meaningful teaching for art students while complying with the US recommendations for higher education operation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
