Art and Australia has been the nation’s premier art magazine for nearly a century. Between 2003 and 2015 under the editorship of Eleonora Triguboff it added contemporary artists awards (in collaboration with Credit Suisse Private Banking), an emerging writers program, Artists Editions, Artists Projects and art books in addition to the regular magazine. Now Art and Australia moves to its new home at the Victorian College of the Arts at the University of Melbourne following its gifting by Eleonora in December 2015. DDCA President Su Baker takes over as Editor in Chief supported by Edward Colless as editor. The new look Art & Australia, accompanied by an online version was formally relaunched by artist Bill Henson on 28 October 2016 at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art in Melbourne.
