Congratulations to UTS indigenous artist and senior researcher Jonathan Jones who has been named as this year’s Sydney Myer Creative Fellow in the field of visual arts. Jones, who is based at the Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Edcation and Research, joins seven other creative practitioners to receive creative fellowships this year: Sarah Blasko, music; Merindah Donnelly, dance; Nicola Gunn, theatre; Anna Krien, writing; James Mangohig, music and community and cultural development; SJ Norman, live art; and Nick Power, dance.
