National Gallery of Australia Director appointed

Nick Mitzevich, currently Director of the Art Gallery of South Australia, has been appointed as Director of the National Gallery of Australia and will take up his position in July. In addition to his current role at the Art Gallery of South Australia, Mr Mitzevich, a former lecturer at the University of Newcastle School of Art, has held positions as Director of the University of Queensland Art Museum, the Newcastle Region Art Gallery and is a past chair of the Council of Australian Art Museum Directors.
