Professor Judith McLean is a visionary Australian cultural leader known for her work across the arts, culture, and community sectors on the lands of the Yuggara and Turrabal peoples. With a career spanning creative industries, tourism, and health, she serves as a strategic advisor to governments and mentors leaders in cultural organizations. McLean chairs Dancenorth, a leading dance center in regional Australia; Monkey Baa Theatre, renowned for youth-centered theater; and co-chairs the newly established North Queensland Arts Festival (NAFA), each reflecting her commitment to community-centered arts. As the inaugural Professor of Arts Education at QUT and Scholar in Residence at QPAC, she has championed arts learning and leadership across Australia and the Indo-Pacific. Through her work, McLean envisions arts as a force for civil society, promoting values of compassion and inclusivity, and inspiring vibrant engagement in public life.

Katherine Zeserson (www.zeserson.com) is a musician, coach, educator, facilitator, writer and strategic thinker with over 40 years’ experience in arts leadership, community music, music education and vocal performance. She often works at the intersections between leadership culture, social transformation and creative process. Her work portfolio encompasses one to one coaching, strategic advisory roles, leadership development in the educational and cultural fields, and artistic practice. Current organisational clients include European Concert Halls Organisation, Britten Pears Arts (UK), Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra (UK), Spitalfields Music (UK), and Wicklow County Council (IRL). She is a co-founder and Chair of the Board of Sing Up Ltd. (www.singup.org), an informal advisor to Santa Marcelina Cultura (São Paulo, Brazil), and member of the Board of Dash Arts (UK). From 2001 to 2015 she was Founding Director of Learning and Participation at Sage Gateshead (UK). Katherine has a particular interest in a cappella music and singing for all; having worked extensively in the UK, Europe and Brazil with vocal leaders and musicians on inclusive practice, creative pedagogy and improvisation, as well as making music for over 30 years with communities in the Northeast of England. She is a founder member of UK-based a cappella vocal quartet Mouthful (www.mouthfulway.co.uk) whose work spans performance, song creation and community projects. Katherine is a US citizen of Irish and Jewish ancestry and was raised in New York and Ireland. She divides her time between Northeast England, the West of Ireland and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
