Griffith University has signalled that it may close its Centre for Artistic Research at Queensland College of Art citing ‘financial instability’ and its lack of ‘capacity to attract external funding’.
Established in 2014, the Centre has over 60 members and particular strengths Aboriginal Art, Design and Media, Interactivity, Technology and User Experience, Gender, Sexuality and Identity and Documentary, Historiography and Archives.
The staff consultation period closed on 1 February.
