Michael Balfour to head UNSW Arts and Media School

Theatre and performance researcher, Professor Michael Balfour has been announced as the next head of school of Arts and Media at UNSW. He brings with him an extensive career in applied theatre including a stint at the Theatre in Prisons and Probation (TIPP) Centre, University of Manchester, one of the UK’s longest running arts organisations specialising in applied theatre. Currently Deputy Head of School for Humanities, Languages and Social Sciences at Griffith University, Professor Balfour will take up his UNSW position in May.
