High Profile Music appointments at Monash

A number of high profile musicians will join Monash University’s Sir Zelman Cowan School of Music in the coming months. These include: Award-winning soprano and composer Deborah Cheetham, who will take up the post of Professor of Practice and DECRA awardee, and leading percussionist Dr Louise Devenish, who has been appointed to establish a new percussion department. Other recent appointments include clarinettist Dr Nicole Canham, violinist Dr Anna McMichael, and pianist Aura Go, who will lead the wind, string and piano departments respectively. Professor Margaret Barrett, who held the position of Head of School at the University of Queensland’s School of Music will join Monash in July.
